Angel Dance Ends 2026 with High Scores at the World Dance Championship

From July 24-29, Angel Dance Company attended the World Dance Championship in Meadowlands, New Jersey. Multiple group dances, along with a few soloists, competed against top-scoring routines from across the country.

Multiple awards were earned by the company's group dances:

"Echoes of Dunhuang on the Silk Road"

Final Five in Petite Competitive Small Group

"Rhythms of Tea"

Final Five in Teen Competitive Large Group

"Melody of Spring"

Top Ten in Junior Competitive Large Group

Excellence in Folkloric Award

"Bowls of Blessing"

3rd Place in Teen Elite Large Group

Other group dances performed include:

"Spring Joy"

"Whispering Tide"

"Ghost Town"

In past years, Angel Dance has consistently placed in the top three routines of each category. Though the rankings this year were lower than those of the past, studio director Ke Ke states, "I hope the children will continue to cherish this passion. Rather than comparing themselves to others, they should focus on their own progress from one day to the next." Angel Dance guides and nurtures each student on their journey to grow not only as a dancer, but as a well-rounded and dedicated student. Each dancer graduates from Angel Dance knowing how to persevere no matter the situation and that focusing on their own abilities is more important than comparisons. In response to this year's results, Ke Ke says, "Rankings are not the end but rather a new starting point for striving for excellence. True confidence comes from consistent and rigorous training day after day, as well as repeated self-improvements." The results from this year have not discouraged the dancers; instead, they are now more motivated to improve, knowing that this year's outcome is only temporary.

Regardless of the end result , Angel Dance continued to perform beautifully this year and showed their hours of hard work and dedication through their dances, all while earning awards. Angel Dance Company ended the season with amazing experiences and is looking forward to another great year!
